I went years ago, and I was surprised at how few people there were, despite the fact that the restaurant had been featured on TV. We made reservations, but turned out to be unnecessary. Maybe because it was the middle of a weekday?The food tasted alright, but the portions were small for the price, as seen in the photo. I left feeling hungry. It was an okay experience, but I wouldn't recommend

Reasonably priced! Everything is made from scratch, from the sauerkraut to the pulled pork. Even if you're not a hotdog fan, they have plenty of other options. Can't wait to come back!

I had a hot dog with bacon and cheese that was overflowing out of the roll, I then had the Chicken Soprano sandwich because everything looked and sounded so good I could not make up my mind, the Bay fries that were seasoned to perfection and the cook and staff had me laughing the whole time. Always an excellent experience and worth the trip. Food, atmosphere and staff are an A plus.

Tasty grilled cooked german dogs. (Beef pork and veal) Several toppings offered. I had the cardiac dog and for get about it fries. Also a dog with house mac daddy sauce. Delicious

Awesome hot dog stand at the shore. Finally made it here and now I know why it's rated as one of the top 2 hot dog places in Jersey. Everything on the menu is second to none! Will now be a yearly tradition to stop here.

Great food, great service, great prices

The food was fresh and yummy. Fun atmosphere for the shore. The hostess was sweet and efficient. The prices are surprisingly high for an outdoor fast food joint so be warned. Bring your wallet! The cashier was scary moody.

Great food but they closed when it’s too hot so I come back the next two days they advertised Open till 4. I arrived 3:37 and they said they were closed If you say your open to a certain time then do it

I ate here last summer while visiting Wildwood, checked it off of my “Triple D” bucket list. The hotdogs were soooo good! I can’t wait until I make it back down to Wildwood so I can experience this place again. Delicious!

Huge menu. The dogs are fresh, hand made and cooked to order. Sausages and burgers were the same. It was absolutely delicious. Definitely worth the wait in line.

I went to Maui’s with my family, the girl working the cash register was uncomfortably rude for no reason. she seemed to have a problem with the existence of our potential business. after a while of her being awful we were ready to order. my brother, who has a peanut allergy, could not eat there due to a peanut allergy and there use of peanut oil. the woman said that peanuts are “hypoallergenic” implying she would rather my child brother die than eat wawa at the table with us. the man behind the counter was an absolute douchebag and yelled at us for having food while i was in the middle of ordering. not a single person wore masks or gloves and everyone there was brutal.

Overpriced but what isn't these days especially at the shore. Good food all around and very tasty hot dogs.

My family and I had a great experience at Maui's Dog House. The food tastes great...so many choices that made it hard to pick just one! Staff was very friendly...the young lady who greeted us brought a book over for my daughter to look at which helped preoccupy her time while we waited for the food. Cool atmosphere as well! This is going to be one of our stops everytime we visit Wildwood. Definitely worth the visit!

This place had some food I wanted to eat but everyone is very rude. NO ONE WAS WEARING MASKS, we couldn’t have any food we got from wawa because my brother has a peanut allergy and we tried to explain why we had to get him other food but the cashier said peanuts are hypoallergenic which is a risk we are not willing to take. The guy waited for us to order and told us to leave because we had the food. I was excited to enjoy our vacation and trying new places and this specific place just lost a lot of business.

Very good. Enjoyed it very much. Will definitely come back next time I'm down here.

Awesome hotdogs and friendly environment

Maui’s is a summer staple serving up creatively topped dogs, fries, and a few sandwiches with covered outdoor seating. The hot dogs are tossed on the flat grill before being placed on a substantial bun and dressed with your choice of toppings. I appreciate the unique flavor combinations and grilled quality to the dog. However, I do think their food is overly salty (yeah, even for what it is) and tend to favor the vendors by the beach for value. Worth a visit if you’re a hot dog fanatic or just want a classic summer picnic experience.Response to Owner:You’re welcome! We were thinking the saltiness was due to a brine or the dogs themselves. However, we are always willing to return and ask for a little something different to reassess overall value at Maui!

I find it funny that a lot of the negative reviews are actually the reviewers fault. LOLAnywho, with that said, the owners are great, a little sarcastic, but no BS. Their food is the same. It is awesome, a bit pricey, but no BS and you get what you pay for!People, remember, it is a $6 hot dog, you are going to get your monies worth.My one complaint, their success. I used to be able to walk up any time during the summer and easily get a hot dog. Now I have to wait after Labor Day or before Memorial Day to get my fix. Plan your trip accordingly. If you don't, it is on you, not them.

Best hot dogs I've ever had! This is a must stop every time we are in Wildwood. The owners are so friendly and make the dining experience so pleasant.

Got the sacrilegious horse hotdog it was great. I’m not usually one to eat sauerkraut but whatever you guys do to cook it, it was really good and the horseradish mustard complimented it. Will be coming back to just to spite those losers down below whining about peanut oil lol.
